ADGP Armed J&K reviews functioning, operational preparedness of IRP 13th Bn

BARAMULLA: Anand Jain, ADGP Armed J&K, accompanied by Junaid Mehmood, Dy. Inspector General IRP, Kashmir visited IRP 13th Bn. to review the functioning and operational preparedness of the unit.
Upon his arrival, Jain, was accorded a warm welcome by the Officers present on the occasion. A ceremonial guard of honour was presented to the ADGP by a contingent of IRP 13th Bn.

During the visit, the ADGP inspected various establishments/facilities within the battalion premises, including administrative block, barracks, mess, kot, and transport fleet. He expressed satisfaction over the upkeep and cleanliness of the campus and highlighted the significance of maintaining high standards of hygiene and discipline.
Darbar was also held, during which the ADGP interacted with the unit officers/officials. The unit personnel put forth their demands which were patiently heard by the ADGP and assured timely redressal.
While addressing, Jain urged the personnel to remain fully prepared for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra duties, stressing the importance of professionalism, physical endurance, and quick response capability.
The ADGP also reiterated the department’s firm stand on maintaining a drug-free environment, both on and off duty, warning of strict action against any involvement in substance abuse.
Highlighting the shift towards modernization, Jain appreciated the I/C Commandant and other Officers for fully implementing the e-Office system, which has enhanced administrative efficiency and reduced paperwork.
During the visit, ADGP Armed also reviewed the pace of construction work, presently in progress at Tulibal Sopore for establishment of Battalion Headquarters for Women 2nd Battalion, besides taking security review of the F-coy deployed at Palhalan Pattan. He also interacted with the trainees, presently undergoing refresher course at Palhalan Pattan.
Jain encouraged all ranks to embrace digital initiatives for better governance and accountability.
The visit concluded with a plantation drive within the batallion campus, reaffirming the department’s commitment to a clean and green environment.
